I've spent a long time hating pictures of myself. So, I decided to change that. This year, I'm challenging myself to do at least one self-portrait every month. I'll admit the first few months were a bit rocky, but I'm finding my groove and, more importantly, I'm learning to love myself in photos. And, well, just myself.
I don't think we need a special occasion to book a photo session. You don't need to be engaged, getting married, pregnant or need family Christmas cards to have a photo session. Book one just because. To celebrate your promotion, with your best friends, because you saw some cool inspo on Pinterest.
Let the reason for your photos simply be because you deserve to have images you love of yourself. That's one hell of a reason.
When it starts raining, you can hide inside or you can grab your camera, run outside and have some fun.
If you don't feel good when the shutter clicks, you won't like the images. I felt that more than ever in this session.
Starting to find my groove with this self-portrait thing, and all it took was some colored cellophane and a cool idea.
